Designing a Coffea House

Overview

The goal was clear: create a brand that could compete with established players, while standing out through a more refined customer experience.
Our role was to build the brand from the ground up, defining its strategy, shaping its identity, and translating it into a cohesive physical and product experience.
Designing a Coffea House

The Challenge

Launching a new coffee shop in the downtown core comes with immediate pressure, high rent, high expectations, and very little room for trial and error. Customers in this area already have habits. They know where they’re going before they leave their office. Breaking that pattern requires more than a nice logo or good coffee.

Designing a Coffea House

The Solution

We started by stripping things back. The identity was designed to be clear, legible, and confident, something people can recognize in seconds, not something they need to figure out. The brand extends naturally from the storefront to the shelf, with packaging playing a key role in reinforcing the business beyond the café itself.

We then carried that thinking into the physical space. Storefront signage was designed to be visible and legible from a distance. Inside the store, everything was kept structured and intentional. The product side was just as important. We developed a packaging system for the coffee beans that feels considered and consistent with the rest of the brand. It gives the product presence on the shelf and reinforces that this isn’t just a café, it’s a coffee brand.
